The African Spirits follow in the traditions of the Djelis and Spirit Dancers of Africa (with a Gullah Geechee foundation). An African Spirit can provide an entertaining, uplifting, and informative touch to your program, special event, family reunion, festival, gathering, meeting, conference, wedding, grand opening, reception, class, or etc.

Living History Presentations (“Sankofa Remembrances”), Lectures, Tours, and Workshops are our specialties.

Day Clean (dey kleen) - language(s) and dialect: Gullah, Krio, early African Seminole Creole, and Geechee. Definition 1) Gullah Geechee, and Krio reference to the time of day - beginning of the day, first light, dawn, start of a new day, “day clean “; 2) Gullah Geechee philosophy of life - each day starts anew, “day clean”, the day is clean, it is fresh, no matter what happened yesterday today is a new day, a fresh day, a fresh start, “day clean".
